Companies recognised are those that offer their employees an excellent and
decidedly attractive corporate culture
The Dögging-based company FreiLacke was recognised as one of the best employers by Great Place to Work® in the “Best Employer Manufacturing & Industry 2023” competition.
The award is presented for outstanding commitment to shaping a trusting and conducive culture of cooperation within a company. The company also received the “Best Employer Baden-Württemberg 2023” award.
Assessment was based on a comprehensive, anonymous survey of FreiLacke employees carried out in June 2022, which addressed core workplace issues such as trust in the management, quality of cooperation, appreciation, identification with the company, vocational development, remuneration, promotion of health and the work-life balance. In addition, a detailed culture audit was carried out in the company, which was included in the evaluation.
“The award stands for a workplace culture that is characterised to a large extent by trust, pride and team spirit”, says Andreas Schubert, Managing Director of the Great Place to Work® Institute.
“An attractive corporate culture that promotes commitment and innovation is a central key to economic success and accomplishing important future tasks – especially in the current business climate.
Despite Corona, many measures based on employee feedback were implemented
Since their last participation in the “Great Place to Work®” competition in 2019, the feedback from the employee survey at that time has been consistently reviewed, and measures such as the conversion of the administration building or the improvement of the workplaces have been implemented.
“It was important to us to receive honest feedback from our employees in order to gradually optimise our company and our workplaces. Good working conditions and motivated staff are also a cornerstone in terms of achieving outstanding, innovative products for our customers”, explained managing directors Dr. Rainer and Hans-Peter Frei.
